Leo is a drummer, composer, and educator based of out Brooklyn, NY.

Since graduating from William Paterson University in 2017 with a B.A. in Jazz

Studies, Leo has been part of the music world in New York City. Leo has performed

at various venues throughout NY, including Smalls Jazz Club, Mezzrow, the Django, Fat Cat,

Rue B, 55 bar, and Silvana, performing with jazz combos. While COVID-19 has

significantly reduced the number of performances Leo can play, he still continues to

perform at private events and venues.

Playing is one half of Leo's artistic outlet. The other half consists of composition and production. In live shows, Leo performs his original music. As a composer, Leo has had commissioned work. Back in 2018, Leo's composition "E" was commissioned by and performed with Sage City symphony with the Leo Yucht Quartet (watch that performance here). Leo also produces original music using Logic Pro X (check out some of his songs here).

Apart from creating and playing music, Leo is passionate about teaching. Leo teaches drum lessons privately through Zoom. Leo also teaches group lessons with young children, doing sing-alongs and music enrichment. To learn more about Leo's teaching, visit the teaching tab.
